Four lighted sculptures tell the story of the evolution of a rural community. They pay tribute to the roles of the railroad, agriculture, industry, and art in Perry's development. The "Speed Train" pays tribute to the 98-year legacy of the Milwaukee Road with a depiction of the Hiawatha, the most famous of the Milwaukee trains. "Born of Fire" recognizes industry with an 11-foot-high crucible supported in mid-air by a stream of molten metal. The statues are lit each evening from sundown-midnight.
