The Right Light

Bronze sculpture of a painter in action stands on East 34th Street, between Third Avenue and Lexington Avenue.

[Gary Spino, 09/29/2020]

The pervasive artist Seward Johnson has made several of these statues, most of them placed in far more natural settings. This one has been in this spot since 2014. Tourists like to pose with city statues not on pedestals. Walking locals remember to look up from their phones before tripping.
