The Vanderbilt Mansion and Museum houses the gentleman's collection of William K. Vanderbilt II. It's packed with items he collected during his travels in the early 1900s. Across from each other are a room lined floor-to-ceiling with racks of taxidermy, and a natural history room with display cases filled with odd artifacts, such as an old amputation kit. In the center display case are two shrunken heads from Peru. Whoever gave the tip about the fish left out the shrunken heads. That whole room is just crammed with great stuff.
