[Matt, 11/25/2012]Apple Boulders:- Address:
- 27665 Hwy 74, Perris, CA
- Directions:
- I-15 exit onto Hwy 74/Central Ave. at Lake Elsinore, then drive northwest for about three miles. On the north side of the road, at the intersection of Wasson Canyon Rd.
I work out in Riverside County and tend to have to wander around. This is a fun little spot to take some pictures, sit on a rock, watch traffic and waste time till the next appointment.
[Abbie, 01/27/2010]I am the artist who first painted these boulders in 1983. Lived just above the bluffs behind the Rocks. These have been well cared for by locals, since I originally did the art -- several re-coats of paint have been added- I appreciate the honest care which local folks have given to this art work.
One day I should go there and actually paint it better with fresh red paint!

[Jackie Solomon, 04/30/2009]Someone saw an apple in the rocks on S74 on the way to Perris, California. So what did they do? Like any good graffiti artist, they painted them accordingly. They make quite a sight as you drive along.
Perris is the home of the Orange Empire Railway Museum.
