An entire outdoor wall of a building is painted with a USA flag and the words, "Welcome to Smallville." This a was a location for the 2013 Superman movie "Man of Steel."

Downtown Plano was the location for "Smallville" in the 2013 Superman movie Man of Steel. Small remnants from the film can be found on some of the storefronts of the whole downtown block that was used during filming. The nearby Amtrak station has a bunch of movie props on display, and there's even a little sign on the door that still reads "Smallville Town Hall."
