Scheduled to open this summer, a historic fire lookout tower, the newest landmark in the small town of Duncannon, PA has problems. The 110' tower was moved within the last year to its present location at the Old Sled Works. Restoration work included adding additional handrails throughout the structure to make it compliant with building safety codes. Unfortunately, according to new owner Jimmy Rosen, "the added weight of all the new steel has caused many areas of the tower to sag, thus rendering it completely unsafe." [06/19/1999]
