The damaged Journal Record Building will open as the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial Museum on Monday, April 19 -- exactly six years after the tragedy. The museum provides an eerie chronicle of the day, including a recreation of the moment inside the JR Building when the explosion destroyed most of the adjacent federal building. The exhibits include live audio recordings of the blast, video of the destruction, a wall of victims faces, and offices depicting post-blast jumble.
The museum is across the street from the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial Park. [02/17/2001]
