Freedom Comes To Pigeon Forge

The majestic-sounding National Freedom Museum has opened in Pigeon Forge, TN. It does not celebrate the freedom to shop for bargains, as do many of the outlet malls in Pigeon Forge. Instead, it honors those who fought in America's wars, reportedly with a $6 million collection of memorabilia.

Information is sparse on what, exactly, is included in that collection, although a press release mentions a British flag from the War of 1812, a death mask of Abraham Lincoln, and "things like old uniforms and clothes."

[Update: This place quickly changed into the Veterans Memorial Museum, then in 2006 it was replaced by an antique mall.]
