West Wendover, Nevada - Victory Highway Memorial
A commemorative marker placed in 2009 represents the bronze eagles that originally marked the Victory Highway in the 1920s. There are five of the original markers still in existence. They were made in recognition of the sacrifices of soldiers who gave their lives during World War I.

- I-80 exit 410, then drive west on Wendover Blvd. On the north side of Wendover Blvd, about 100 yards north of the Wendover Will Cowboy statue.

The Victory Highway was one of several named highways that predated America's numbered highway system (Such as Route 66). The monument stands in the middle of the old highway -- now just a gravel path -- which was in use until the 1940s.
