Ely, Nevada - Mule Mural and Ghost Train

There's a big long story behind this, which I don't know very well. I do know that it is terribly irritating when they run the Ghost Train and blow the whistle behind my house at 7am on the weekends. There is also a giant (like 4 or 5 story) mural of a mule on the side of the Hotel Nevada ↦ Gambling Hall on Aultman Street in Ely. Also, one block off of "downtown" Ely, there is a real red-light district that is still in operation. There used to be three brothels -- two shut down because of drug busts but the other, The Starlight Ranch, is still open for business. [Nicole Freeman, 05/29/1999]
