I noticed the submission for the playground rocket ship in Vandalia, Illinois and remembered we have our very own playground rocket ship. I don't now how old it is or how long it's been there, but I know the rocket and several other pieces of playground equipment have been there since I moved to Alaska 26 years ago. Children are still allowed to play on it and all the other equipment, thanks to the Mountain View Lions Club, who maintains the park.
The rocket has 4 levels with a slide on the 2nd and a steering wheel at the top.
