Immersive Abe Lincoln Exhibits To Keep Families Awake At New Museum

A large, lavish museum about Abe Lincoln opens later this week in his hometown of Springfield, Illinois. The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum promises 40,000 square feet of "immersive" exhibits and experiences, employing state-of-the-art theme park gimmickry. Some highlights from the press release:

The museum also incorporates a fake White House, Lincoln's birth cabin, and a funeral scene.

I-55 exit 98B. Drive west on Clear Lake Ave. into town. Clear Lake turns into Jefferson St. The museum is on the corner of Jefferson and 6th St. Turn right on 6th, and drive two blocks to the parking garage.
