Jacques-Andre Istel, Mayor of Felicity, CA, sends us news that a new wall is being erected at the Official Center of the World. "You are cordially invited to the dedication of the MARINE CORPS KOREAN WAR MEMORIAL on 7 March 1998 at 4 p.m. Pacific Time here at Felicity."
"This new 100' granite wall consists of 60 panels each weighing 477 pounds. The memorial will include the names of the 4606 Marines and 94 Navy Corpsmen who died in Korea. The structure is engineered for 4,000 years."
This Korean War wall joins other contemplative walls that have been erected since the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington DC first started the craze. [11/29/1997]
