In Columbus, Georgia, the little calf that magically appeared next to Kadie the Cow last year has been named "Bebe." Both cow statues stand in front of the Columbus Best Buy store, sponsor of the contest. Kadie is named after Kinnett Dairy, which stood on the property for decades. The enigmatic calf statue showed up in October 2003, then was stolen and missing for months. She was later recovered from a dumpster and restored to the hilltop site.
"Bebe," named by kindergarten teacher Kathy dixon, stands for Best Buy. What more could a PR flack ask for? [09/06/2004]
