Flying Saucer Restaurant

We had stuffed cabbage (Thursdays). It was good. The inside is nicer than the outside would lead you to believe.

Definitely more reasonable and more local than the tacky standards near the Falls. We had Poutine so we could try the official dish of Canada. It was great! The staff is definitely local and so are the patrons. Get out of the carnival chaos!

Flying Saucer Restaurant

Of all the times I have been to Niagara Falls, somehow I missed this place..... Or maybe it wasn't there before? The Flying Saucer Restaurant is actually two saucers connected. Lights circle around the cone top like so many a classic Sci-Fi movie. Because of its low profilem it is a little difficult to take a decent picture -- so much of the building is obstructed by cars. If you don't feel like a ten dollar burger at Planet Hollywood and want to go someplace that really is a one of a kind, go here.

Henry Di Cienzo, the owner, is also offering a one million dollar reward for an actual UFO or pieces of a Flying Saucer. "Persons wishing to collect the reward must contact, Rob McConnel, host of THE 'X' ZONE RADIO SHOW at 10 CKTB, phone (905) 984-6610 or by e-mail at xzone@610cktb.com. All material received will be submitted to labs and scientific centers for complete analysis. The reward will be issued once the material(s) have been thoroughly analyzed and the material(s) have been confirmed to be either alien in content or from a source other than Earth therefore Extra-terrestrial."

Unique dining experience. Menu items have some space reference, such as "ET Breakfast special." Lots of mirrors and cheesy lighting effects. I like the alien picture on their take-out door. Food is good, served in large portions at a reasonable price. Sign says "Home of the $0.99 breakfast."
