Yard art protest. Yard Protest for Guardrail

For the last five years or so, this lady had an arrangement of signs and mannequins in her yard. The story is people get drunk and wreck and die in her yard. So she put up this stuff to "warn" other drivers. She has called the DoT (Department of Transportation) to try and get a guardrail there, but they refused, so she made this.

This is forty mins away from where I live, deep in redneck country. I risked my life to bring you pictures of this very "horror movie" like location -- Texas Chainsaw or House of a 1000 Corpses. None of this is for Halloween -- all of it, including the naked bloody bodies, are here year round to serve as a warning. People of the town want it taken down.

She used to have a lot more mannequins but damage from a big rig truck running off the road may have taken them out. [Ryan Bobo, 11/21/2005]
