Nokesville, Virginia - Dancing Cow and Pig The origin of the Dancing Cow and Pig was a contest for a now defunct alternative rock radio station. The radio station sent out vans and if they spotted their call letters, you would win a good size prize. Alas, the dancing cow and pig did not win, but the good town of Nokesville won a memorable icon.
Everything of the original painting remains the same, except the radio station stuff has been painted over. [Jason Margolies, 01/31/2008]
Nokesville, Virginia - Dancing Cow and Pig In the "metropolis" of Nokesville, Virginia (pop:1,200), there is a big green barn with a dancing cow and pig painting facing north (seen from southbound lane). The owner has periodically maintained the painting, as it has been there for at least 10 years now.
