Charlottesville, Virginia - Seal the Mascot

I have a possible addition to your Pet Cemetery tour. One of the most staid institutions of higher education in the US, the University of Virginia, has buried an old mascot in its cemetery in Charlottesville, Virginia. Both his life and funeral are described in Virginius Dabney's "University of Virginia." Seal once urinated on an opposing cheerleader's megaphone during a football game. [Joshua Sharf, 06/19/1997]
