Old Iron Town Ruins

Off of Rt. 56 in Cedar City is a sign for the ruins of an Old Iron Town. When you follow the road approx 3 miles, it brings you to an amazingly well kept historical area. The frames of many of the Iron Smelting Buildings are still present as well as some chimneys. There are historical markers all over the path that tell about the various areas of the town. There is also a wonderful little nature path to walk around the outskirts of the town.

The main road to the town is usually impassable during the winter months, so plan to take your trip before the end of October or early November.
