Dick Tracy Days Dick Tracy's creator [Chester Gould] was born and raised in Pawnee, Ok. The Pawnee County Historical Museum and Dick Tracy Headquarters celebrate Dick Tracy's birthday on the first Saturday of October each year. All of the area law enforcement bring their cars and there is a parade at 12:00 with all the vehicles with their lights and sirens going -- a little loud, but the kids love it.
There are activities on the courthouse square, also geared to law enforcement and children. The Museum, which is on the west side of the square, serves birthday cake and punch. There is an art show featuring Dick Tracy and also Dick Tracy and friends look-a-likes. [Dana Hicks, 01/19/2008]
