Kelowna, British Columbia - Flintstone's Bedrock City - Vague Recollections The Flintstone's Bedrock City in Kelowna certainly did exist at one time. I grew up in Kelowna and used to go there with my family in the 1970s. The Grand Theatre is built on the original site. Wild Waters water slide park was also right beside the Flintstone's Park. It sat on a man-made hill that is also gone. I would love to have brought my kids to these family attractions.
Dinotown still exists. We took my children there last summer. It still lies on the #1 highway between Hope and Chilliwack. [Dave, 10/04/2009]
Hope, British Columbia - Bedrock City To add to your
Flintstone / Bedrock City page: Your page notes
that rumors
of a Bedrock City near Kelowna, BC have yet to be proven. Let me dispell the
myth by stating that it DOES exist but it isn't really near Kelowna. It is
along the main highway between Vancouver, BC and Hope, BC, along the Hope
Inlet. We went there in 1991 while driving between Vancouver and Calgary.

Kelowna, British Columbia - Bedrock City Flintstone parks in Kelowna and Hope - Both located in British Columbia, Canada... did exist at one time, but both are certainly closed by now. We went on a trip across BC in 1998 and found that the one in Hope had been converted to 'Dino Town' and just wasn't the same at all. Being a huge Flintstone fan, we went to Kelowna and I was very excited to go to the Park there. We drove around for hours but couldn't seem to find it. Relatives had been there less than a month ago and had seen it, so we knew it existed. We eventually went to a tourism office only to discover that they had begun tearing it down just the week before. We actually have pictures of some of the demolition in progress and I can tell you that it was a very sad sight indeed.

Kelowna, British Columbia - Bedrock City - Closed I saw
it was rumored that a
Bedrock City existed in Kelowna, British Columbia. It did exist and to my horror it closed down this past year. It was always crowded and had been there for years but they decided to try something else.
