Children's Shoe House This shoe is on Hwy 182 just west of the city of Lincolnton, in Lincoln County, NC. It is in the front yard of what was the Birthplace of James Pinckney Henderson, the first Governor of Texas. There is a historical marker stating this in front of the house. We first drove by this giant shoe a few months ago and yesterday I had the camera, so we stopped to photograph it.
