Miss Electra, Power Goddess

Disappointing she is on top of the building and you cannot get close enough to take a decent photo. Museum is only open Monday through Friday.

Miss Electra

Miss Electra stands atop the Alabama Electric Company building. She is quite hard to see from the ground. You'll need a good zoom lens to photograph her.

[Carolyn Earle, 02/26/2015]

With lightning bolts for hair, the naked Miss Electra is so supercharged that it's vaporized her clothes.

Miss Electra, Power Goddess

The best places I've found to shoot photos of Miss Electra are 1) from the First Methodist Church parking lot at the corner of 6th Ave. N. and 18th St. N., and 2) from behind the parking garage between 6th and 5th Aves up on the little hill. Long telephoto lens required.

It's on top of a building..I wouldn't drive up right to the address because you can't see it very well at all...but I don't know a better place to see it either so I'm at a loss.

[ME, 05/12/2012]

The best vantage point we found was several blocks north, behind the statue -- along Rev. Woods Blvd. You'll need a telephoto lens.
