Lady in the Lake.

Lady in the Lake

We found the Lady a little hard to find. There is now a fence around the marina, set quite a distance away from her. From the fence, you can only get a bit of a view of the back of her head, past the many boats docked there. The fence has a gate marked "Authorized Personnel Only," so we were not able to get close to her at first. We stood at the gate taking pictures, when someone inside waved us in. Figuring he was "authorized," we walked in and were then able to get right up to her.

The Lady was created by fiberglass maestro Mark Cline, who modeled her face by combining his favorite movie actress with his favorite female country music artist.

Lady of the Lake

The Lady is still in dry dock as of June 27th, 2014. They were not sure when she would be returned to the water.

We went in March, so she wasn't back in the water yet. We found her in the boatyard of the marina though!
