Even older (and possibly more powerful) than Plymouth Rock is Sacrifice Rock, an attraction for the natives long before the Pilgrims arrived.

- Southeast of town. On the east side of Old Sandwich Rd, just south of its intersection with the conveniently named Sacrifice Rock Rd, and east of a new development called Seton Highlands. If you go too far east, you'll find yourself on a dirt road.

[daytripper, 07/25/2014]On Old Sandwich Road is a rock sometimes referred to as "Indian Rock." Supposedly it was used for sacrifices.
[anonymous, 02/19/2013]According to the Plymouth Antiquarian Society (which owns the rock), the "sacrifices" made to the rock were symbolic sticks or stones, not living creatures. A plaque bolted to the rock asserts that its Indian name translates to "God's Rock."
