A little bit hard to find but so worth it! Very good food, service. There is even have a cool little shop where you could buy everything from t-shirts to cigars. I love that the river is across street, beautiful.
[Mari, 04/14/2011]A great place if you're interested in Chicago history...food is good but a bit pricey.
[Peg Schweizer, 02/11/2010]A lot of the memorabilia from [Chicago's closed] Al Capone Museum is now at a restaurant in St. Charles. It is named Al Capone's Hideaway and Steak House. It is an actual Speakeasy from the 20's, right on the Fox River, and legend has it that Big Al himself "hung out" there, as it states in the men's room. Which alone is worth the trip. Along with a lot of Capone history, there have really great steaks. The servers dress as gangsters and the night we were there, there was some really great jazz in the speakeasy on the second floor.
