Rosedale, Maryland: Cateraptasaurus: Mecha-Dinosaur (Gone)

Sculpted by Derek Arnold, the safety-yellow dinosaur was almost 13 feet tall, built entirely out of old pieces of construction equipment.

Directions:
I-695 exit 35A. Drive south on US Hwy 40/Pulaski Hwy for a quarter-mile. You'll see a high-voltage electric tower on the left; the dinosaur stands just past it.

Cateraptasaurus: Mecha-Dinosaur

Cateraptasaurus the Mecha-Dinosaur appears to have met its demise sometime between June 2018 and July 2019.

The company that displayed Cateraptasaurus was bought by another Caterpillar dealer. Apparently the new owners didn't want a Mecha-Dinosaur.

Cateraptasaurus is a sculpture in the shape of a dinosaur created by Derek Arnold. It stands nearly 13 feet tall and was built entirely out of old construction equipment parts. It stands at the Alban Cat dealership on Pulaski Highway in Rosedale Maryland, just outside of Baltimore.

Here since 2007, Cateraptasaurus is over 19 feet long and weighs six tons.
