Ocean Springs, Mississippi: Crooked Feather: 30-Foot-Tall Indian Head
This 1999 giant Indian head, sculpted by Thomas King, is a replica of a 30-foot-high Indian head carved out of a cypress log in 1976 by Peter "Wolf" Toth. The 1976 wooden head had rotted, and the town mistakenly thought that Toth had died.

I've seen several of these statues scattered across the country from coast to coast: an elongated Native American head with a distinctive headpiece. All are carved from large native trees in the area where they are on display. The sculptor is Peter Wolf Toth, and he has carved over 70 of these "Whispering Giants" as his tribute to the the North American Native Americans. This statue is hard to see due to the trees around it. There's a frontage road that runs behind it and you can find a place to park there.
