Fake Town of Spectre from Big Fish
When you drive up to the gate there is a sign to the right with phone numbers to call for a gate code. You can camp. The man I met that was in charge was unbelievably nice! The cost is $3 per person, a small amount for a wonderful experience.

- Jackson Lake Island. Private property. Gated. I-65 exit 179. Drive east on Cobbs Ford Rd/Alabama River Pkwy for 3.5 miles. Cross the train tracks, then immediately turn left onto Cypress Lane, drive to gate, call posted phone number for the gate code, then follow Cypress Lane across the bridge to Spectre.
