White's City, New Mexico - Summer Sale! Buy Your Own Museum!
Million Dollar Museum: It’s not often that we have a chance to buy pieces of a beloved roadside attraction. It’s rarer still that we have the opportunity to buy not only the attraction itself, but the entire town that surrounded it. [07/10/2008] Complete Story...

Basket people skulls. White's City, New Mexico - Million Dollar Museum - Closed

The auction company where I work recently received a flyer indicating that White's City as well as the contents of the Million Dollar Museum will be up for auction in July. Unfortunately for the museum, it seems as though its contents are slated to be auctioned off separately. Higgenbotham Auctioneers will be conducting the sale and details are listed on their website. The alien baby -- taken by the FBI? White City, New Mexico - Million Dollar Museum

The Museum is still full of most of its odd stuff, but sadly the mummies and alien babies have been abducted. I asked the woman at the desk about them and she said that the FBI had come a couple of months ago and taken them for DNA testing. She did not sound hopeful about their return to the museum. White's City, New Mexico - Million Dollar Museum

White's City Million Dollar Museum has to be one of the oddest places in America - my wife and I took a tour of it while we camped next door (the next day we went to Carlsbad Caverns, just up the road). The museum is comprised of a multitude of curious and strange collections (one is a room covered - ceiling, walls, and floor (under glass) with a collection of bulls horns - still another is a huge collection of miniatures - and that is just the beginning!). It took us a couple of hours to walk through it, for a modest fee (IIRC). [Andrew L. Ayers, 12/24/2001]
