Tea Cup Rock is no longer there. Hurricane Fiona destroyed it in September 2022. The Thunder Cove Beach (where Tea Cup Rock was located) is still worth a visit.
[Denise Talen, 06/15/2023]The Tea Cup toppled over this past winter during a hurricane force storm.
[Kathy Stephan, 06/10/2023]Tea Cup Rock
There are actually three formations: the Tea Cup; a rock that is shaped like an animal head; and a third between the other two. It is probably easier to access the area at low tide; I was here at high tide. There are lots of "No Trespassing" signs in the area, so make sure you access Tea Cup Rock from Thunder Bay Beach. You may want to wear shoes like sandals or water socks and clothes that can get wet. Or take your shoes off and go barefoot. Depending on the tide you may want to wade through the water, because the rocks in the tidal zone may be slippery.
