Wow, crowded. We did not see the train go to booths. Watched thru the window and left. I'd get there when it opens if you want the train to bring your food. With a small group. [Deb, 07/31/2011]

[RA: The train runs around the U-shaped main counter and back into the kitchen. It was crowded when we visited as well, but that seemed to trigger more frequent rail deliveries!]

Choo Choo Restaurant

The Choo Choo Restaurant is a time capsule of a place, serving burgers by rail since 1951. But the train delivery is not the only thing great about the Choo Choo. The food is great. The ice cream is supreme, and they treat you right on your birthday, with a song and a train whistle. I was completely charmed by this wonderful survivor of another day and time, and by its wonderful owner and her family.

Choo Choo Restaurant

Since reopening, the Choo-Choo is much more fun. You used to have to fight to get a seat at the counter to get served by the choo-choo, the toy train which carries out food on flat-bed freight cars along a track on the counter. Now the choo-choo makes stops for those in booths, too. Also the cheeseburgers are delicious and there's even more train paraphanelia. [Carol Vinzant, 02/10/2002]
