155 feet tall, the town's medieval-looking water tower has a few small jail cells in its cement base, last used over 100 years ago.

- I-95 exit 53. Drive east on Hwy 63 for 3.5 miles into town. Turn right at the stoplight onto Hampton St. Drive three blocks. Turn left at the stoplight onto N. Memorial Ave. Drive half-block. Turn right to park next to the water tower.

The Belton Standpipe, 155 feet high, was completed in 1909. Its medieval appearance probably inspired the addition of the jail cells with iron bars, but they were used only briefly.
