About ten miles from Ocean City there is a Mermaid Museum. It is up the stairs of a historic building, and gorgeous inside. It's small; I'd suspect the average visitor would spend 30-60 minutes inside. There is a lot of historical information about mermaids across various world cultures, as well as pop culture info and artifacts (Look for the cheese curl shaped like a mermaid). It's curated beautifully, and there are two photo-ops inside with a trunk of items to play dress up, including fins! I really appreciate that it's not exclusively geared toward children, but kids will enjoy it, too. I loved spending time there.
