Just in time for the hot steam to be visible on cold days.

Golden Teapot - Clobbered!

The teapot is presently gone from its usual location. An employee inside Starbucks said that large construction vehicles that passed by knocked it down and broke it on multiple occasions. The repaired teapot is expected to return once construction is completed across the street, but that may not be for over a year from now.

This large tea kettle that hangs over the entrance to Starbucks in Boston's government center has been there for decades, spouting its steam daily.

The kettle has been in Boston since 1873, long before the Starbucks. Its capacity is about 228 gallons. Its steam is best seen in colder weather.
