Video: A Visit with M.T. Liggett
Mullinville, Kansas
We've visited Mullinville, Kansas a couple times, mainly to see M.T. Liggett's Political Sculptures and what he has been up to. His farm property is ringed with his metal sculptures and labels skewering politicians -- from local characters up to the President. By themselves they are funny and sometimes shocking, but having the living Liggett himself out to narrate was a hoot.
We chatted with the feisty populist artist in 2002 about Bill Clinton, G.W. Bush, and why he doesn't care what we show him saying in this video (In 2006, we checked in and he claimed he wasn't affiliated with any political party).
Warning -- lots of frank language from the heartland. Kids -- cover your ears! [4:54]
