There's a faded lime green Futuro House in Houston, owned by a former Philadelphia hipster couple.

- 4388 Deep Grass Lane, Houston, DE
- Directions:
- From US Hwy 13 in Harrington turn east at the stoplight onto Hwy 14. Drive east about three miles. Turn right onto Deep Grass Lane. Drive a half-mile. You'll see a small circular driveway on the left; the Futuro House is just past it, at the end of a long driveway, set back into the trees. Easy to miss. Visible from the road. Private property; please do not trespass.

The Futuro house is a fun, quick stop if you are in the area. Easy to pull up and park.

There's a guy who rents the house and lives here part-time, mainly for the novelty of it all. If he happens to be home, he's really nice, and may even give you a tour.

This Futuro, originally designed in 1968 by Finnish architect Matti Suuronen, was trucked from its previous home in Wisconsin. Then it was gutted, painted, furnished, and is now rented out to glampers. Its owners claim that it has "a creative and positive energy," although probably not enough to launch it into space.
