[Mark Swann, 12/30/2017]The hammer fell off the roadside radar for a few years after it disappeared from a Bingle Road auto salvage business in 2013. Somewhere along the way it lost the lolling tongue and cartoon eyes.

Honoring all 9/11 attack victims, Lauren's Garden is dedicated to Lauren Catuzzi Grandcolas, Flight 93 passenger. There is a bust of 38-year old Houston resident, and a fountain. "Each smooth stone represents a life lost," according to the plaque, and "The sight of the tower rising in the distance from mist in the center of the fountain reminds us of both our vulnerability and our strength."
