There is a five-foot-high mortar and pestle on the back lawn of the Leonel Castillo Community Center in Houston. Free parking lot parking available. Mortar and Pestle are located around the back of the building, right off the parking lot. I went only a few days after it was unveiled, but it seemed to be missing its guacamole. Could be because I went when it was raining.

The sculpture, by Jesus Medel Cantu, is of a molcajete, an Aztec mortar and pestle used to make salsa and guacamole. When it was unveiled in August 2022, it was full of what we thought was fake green guacamole -- but maybe the guac was real?
