Mary Elizabeth Hopkins began her Santa Claus collection in 1913, and only stopped in 1990 because she died. More than 2,000 are on display, as well as Santa art by Norman Rockwell, Thomas Nast, and a complete collection of Haddon Sundblom Coca-Cola Santas. The museum is in a small house, and is the kind of place that has to have Santa & Mrs. Claus actors in each publicity shot to make it look interesting.
From the brochure: "The merriment begins as you pull the nose of the Santa door bell and listen as the tune 'Santa Claus is coming to Town,' echoes onto Washington Street."
