All-Nighter Head of JFK
Anaconda, Montana
Sponsored by the local VFW, unveiled on Memorial Day, 1966. Local sculptor Larry Calnan created a large bronze bust of JFK with blank eyes, a misshapen head, a loosened necktie, and a rumpled suit jacket. It looks as if Jack just woke up from a Rat Pack all-nighter in Vegas. Mounted on an outdoor pedestal of pebbled concrete, the head is out of reach of visitors, preventing anyone from rubbing it in hope that it would cure their hangover.
