Miracle on the Hudson Jet
Charlotte, North Carolina
Climb aboard the formerly waterlogged Flight 1549, and relive the miraculous moments when Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger safely landed it in the Hudson River after flying into a flock of Canada Geese. The geese died, but all 160 people on the plane lived. It was the feel-good story of 2009 (except for the geese). Since Charlotte was the plane's destination, Charlotte got to keep the plane and put it on permanent display in its airport museum in 2012.
