P.S. The tradition of shooting arrows into the dinosaurs ended abruptly when someone put a shaft into the newly acquired models at the museum. I think the kid is still in jail. [Uther Draken, 05/08/2008]
Seasonally Decorated Dinosaur Two very different dinosaur statues are located in Vernal, UT. One is a pink dinosaur called "Dinah" after the motel where it once was located. It's been moved to the east end of Vernal and holds a "Welcome to Vernal" sign where it once held the motel sign. A very striking statue that greets visitors to this town traveling Highway 40 from Colorado.
The other statue is of a large green T-Rex located mid-town on Highway 40 (main street). It is usually decorated with seasonal costumes (bunny ears and fuzzy tail for Easter, white beard and red/white hat for Christmas, etc.) that are very humorous and well done. [C Cordingley, 02/20/2005]
