Starship Pegasus There is a spaceship next to a gas station in Italy Texas. It used to be an arcade but is now closed. You can't go inside but you can take pictures of it from the outside.
[Tiffany, 05/08/2012]Stopped by today to get a closer look. Closed, but still looks to be in good shape. They have two signs blocking the entrance onto the property now, but you can see it from the road.
[Donny, 02/22/2012]Stopped off and visited Starship Pegasus. The lady there, who looked like she was trying to have a yard sale, asked if we wanted to have our pictures taken. She was really friendly. The only bad thing is when you walked by the open door of the Starship, it really stank of chickens. And the grass needed mowing. They could really make a killing if they would take better care of it. The lady (I think she said her name was Jan or Jane) apologized for the way things looked. She said some people living there were supposed to take care of it. You could tell she was really embarrassed. The outside building was really cool.

Starship Pegasus Although still closed as of May 2010, the owners are apparently still active trying to find a new use. The exit contains a relatively new fast-food rest stop next to the Pegasus; perhaps this will increase the chances of a local buyer. Peering through the glass door, it appears the interior is in good shape. As of May 2010, there was a fresh placard containing info for prospective tenants and buyers.
[Rick L, 05/12/2010]Andy Gee writes: As of last weekend we are in the process of reopening the Starship as a Flea Market/Farmers Market. Eventually with enough volume it will become once again a restaurant. Anyone interested in renting space please contact me at ageebiz@yahoo.com or call me at 817-913-8800.
Went by the Starship on my way to San Antonio. It's a shame that it is still shut down. Talked with some locals, but they refused to talk about it...(small towns, go figure).
I had stopped in when it was still open. Had the best darn pizza's around and their icec ream items were out of this world. I hope they can open another one. Dreams like this should never die.
