PA National Fire Museum
This museum has a number of informative and interesting displays that are quite well done. Plaques describing what is portrayed in those displays are educational in explaining what the visitor sees before them. There are videos, educational displays, and restored fire apparatus to be seen and experienced. The volunteers that staff this museum are cordial and knowledgeable regarding what is in this collection.
[Thom H, 11/23/2023]Renovated 1800's Fire Station complete with living quarters and stables. Old horse drawn fire equipment, hand pumpers, old restored vehicles, only operating gamewell city fire alarm system (came from Altoona, PA) this you have to see. Plus Tons of firefighting equipment -- ask to see the collection of fire grenades.
