World's Largest Peanut
In a quiet, peaceful town there is an oasis of excitement centered on the corner of the city hall. Great pics and memories follow feasting your eyes on the town's impressive accomplishment of growing a huge peanut.

We visited the Peanut on August 31, on the corner of Evergreen and 3rd, facing the intersection. It was easy to find. Durant also has a group of metal horse statues on Main St. and several "painted horses" scattered through the town. Fun to find!

World's Largest Peanut
While visiting Ft. Washita, Oklahoma, we saw signs proclaiming the "World's Largest Peanut." I thought it would be a real peanut, an agricultural freak. Instead, we found a cast aluminum peanut perched atop a stone monument. We still laugh about this ridiculous monument. Here is a picture of me (I'm the guy in the Amish hat) and a family friend, Alex.

While driving through Oklahoma, I came across the World's Largest Peanut in front of the city hall at the quiet city of Durant. Aside from the Peanut, the only memorable thing about Durant was that a truck driving on the wrong side of the road ran me and a mini-van off the highway.
