Pioneer Mom with Scary Child
When we visited, the Mom and Scary Child were painted red and orange. They were terrifying.
[Maeve Sullivan, 01/30/2008]Granny's Restaurant - Pie Woman
You'll see the gigantic woman and little girl statue. It is painted odd colors, and the outside appearance of Granny's Restaurant looks a bit garish -- but, don't be put off; get over there, park your car, and walk inside!
Granny's is one of my personal favorite restaurants. There are two dining rooms, done in stunning, ecclectic Victorian style. Every table is decorated differently. There is a mixture of all sorts of artsy, Victorian and Art Nouveau decoratives in every corner of the place. The atmosphere is lovely, cozy, friendly.
The food is absolutely excellent, moderate to low priced; and they give you a lot of everything.
[Legendiva, 01/26/2007]Outside Granny's Diner is a giant pioneer clad woman holding a platter. She also has a child, with a doll dangling from her hand, clutching her leg. This woman is gigantic. Not only is this spot a treat for the eyes, but the food is a treat for the palate as well.
