Juneau, Alaska - Wizard of Oz Metal Statues

The Wizard of Oz statues are going strong! In fact, several new characters have been added.

There's Toto, Dorothy, the Tin Man, Scarecrow, the Wizard (and his giant green head machine), a flying monkey, the Wicked Witch, a couple of Munchkins, the yellow brick road and the best new addition: the farmhouse in a giant tornado! We traveled all the way to Alaska to visit this and we were not disappointed! Definitely worth a trip if you like tin creatures. [Louisa Moore, 07/11/2008]

The entire Wizard of Oz, made of metal and painted. The Wizard is bright green. They are on the roof of a local sheet metal shop. I heard one winter, when the crew was bored and not working, they made the tin man, and people loved it -- so each year they added a new character. It is now complete with Dorothy, Tin Man, Lion, Scarecrow, Wizard, Toto and a yellow brick road. [Laura Ryan, 12/13/2005]
