We were fortunate enough to take the very last tour of this amazing facility last summer. The chimpanzees were moved to a sanctuary in Canada last fall and the institute is closed. While this facility did good work during its time, it is becoming more clear that chimpanzees are intelligent, emotional, social animals who should never have been kidnapped and forced to live in captivity.
