Local hero Ed McGivern could shoot a dime on the fly, or six clay pigeons simultaneously. He preferred standard pistols to automatic weapons because automatic weapons were just too slow.

- At the East Fork Dam site south of town. Take 1st St. south until it turns into Hwy 238/Upper Spring Creek Rd. Follow south for around three miles, then bear left following Hwy 238 as it becomes Fork Rd. Follow another three miles, then stay straight onto Red Hill Rd (Hwy 238 veers left). Follow Red Hill Rd another three miles to the dam.
